Voyagers Beyond

Scope

What this site is, and is not

The boundary, stated once in full so that the rest of the site does not have to read like a legal document.

Scope

Voyagers Beyond provides educational commentary, general reflection frameworks, source notes, and Sougata Roy’s personal interpretations. Sougata is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, counselor, social worker, or licensed mental-health professional. The site does not provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, counseling, treatment, crisis support, or individualized career, financial, legal, or medical advice. Original frameworks are not scientifically validated unless explicitly stated otherwise and do not promise employment, income, protection from automation, or any particular result. Visitors remain responsible for their decisions and actions.

Why the boundary is drawn here

The questions this site works on are close to the questions a therapist, a career counselor, or a financial advisor might work on with you. Closeness is not sameness. Those professionals have training, licensing, and a duty to you as an individual. This site has none of those things. It has careful thinking, sourced claims, and frameworks that may help you see your situation more clearly. That is a real contribution. It is not a substitute for the other kind.

If you need more than this

If you are in distress, or if a decision in front of you is large and time-sensitive, please talk to a qualified professional or someone you trust. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Nothing on this site is designed for that moment, and it would be wrong to pretend otherwise.

On frameworks and worksheets

Every framework page lists what the framework helps with and what it does not establish. Every worksheet states what it is for and what it is not. Numbers inside a method, such as how many people to ask or how long a pass should take, are practical defaults unless a source is cited beside them. Version history is kept in the open. If a framework changes, the change is visible.

On sources

Every source is entered in a ledger that separates what the source supports, what it does not support, and what Sougata is doing with it. The essay Evidence, Interpretation, Synthesis explains the rule. If you find a ledger that is wrong, we want to know.

What may change

At present the site is a free public library. There are no services, no paid offerings, and no invitation to private advice. If that ever changes, it will be announced plainly, in its own place, and the editorial material will remain free and unchanged in character.
